IF you are talking about the transmission solenoid pack, then I would say yes it is worth it. If the car is running well otherwise and it is well maintained then you might as well keep the car and get your money's worth. If you have not maintained it (one of the causes of pack failure is not changing the trans fluid and filter every 60-70,000 miles. Contaiminates build up in the small pages of the solenoid) then perhaps you should consider doing the other maintenance needed, or trade it in.
