SOUTHERN AMERICANS: do you worry about tarantulas or snakes? Have you ever seen them?

Tarantulas no but snakes i am more careful of, we have rattle snakes here in Utah and when i lived in Texas i would see a few spiders. Honestly i am more afraid of hobo spiders than tarantula since they are more aggressive and have nasty poison.
